Tufting is a traditional Indigenous art that uses moose or caribou hair to create stunning three dimensional designs on tanned hide or birchbark. Tufting reflects the rich heritage of Dene and Métis communities, preserving culture and history through skill, patience, and creativity. Every piece of art can tell a story. Sandra Moore is an Indigenous artesian from Hiawatha First Nation.
Educators working in child care and child and family programs on reserve are invited to register.
